On Wednesday, October 30, 2013, Jerzy Starak - the Chairman of the Supervisory Board Polpharma SA - received the second highest Polish civil decoration state - Officer's Cross of the Order of the Rebirth of Poland. He was awarded for outstanding contribution to the development of the Polish economy and social activities and charity. On the same day Jerzy Starak  opened a new line for the production of soft gelatin capsules at Medana Pharma S.A in Sieradz, Poland. The value of the project amounted to more than 4,3 million euros and will increase the production of about 130% over one year.

Tadeusz Wrona, the pilot of PLL LOT, the man who brought the whole world in amazement by landing the Boeing 767 without wheels for the first time in history, is the author of the autobiography “I, Captain”. On October 21st at the Belvedere restaurant the book promotion took place. The meeting was led by famous radio journalist Tadeusz Sznuk, and it was attended by author’s family and friends, representatives of the media, opinion leaders, artists, airline industry and rectors of universities.

BC MFD Media Communications together with the Ministry of National Education implemented a series of outdoor exhibitions "EU funds for education." Exhibitions were held between 21st September 2013 and 27th October 2013 in four cities: Warsaw, Łódź, Katowice and Lublin. The purpose of the exhibition was to present selected activities for the education within the Priority III OP Human Capital 2007-2013 "High quality of education system".

On Sunday, September 29, 2013, the central celebration of World Heart Day was held in Lublin. It was the eleventh time when Polish Association of Cardiology organized this event. In the historic part of the city, on Castle Square, artists and cardiologists invite participants to preventive health care, with special reference to heart disease. Everyone who visited the venue could benefit from the free medical exam , expert advice and the attractions provided
by partners of the event.
